The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, is set to begin his campaign tour of the Teso Sub-region tomorrow, Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, with a series of rallies scheduled in Serere District.
According to the party’s official program, Mafabi and the FDC delegation will address supporters in three major sub-counties as part of his mobilization drive ahead of the 2026 general elections.
The tour will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Kadungulu Sub-county, targeting voters from Kasilo County, before proceeding to Pingire Sub-county at 12:00 noon for another rally focused on the Pingire County electorate.
The day’s final and grand rally will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Kyere Town Council headquarters, where Mafabi is expected to address residents of Serere County and outline his vision for a new FDC and a renewed Uganda.
Party officials in Serere have confirmed that preparations are in high gear to welcome the FDC leader and his entourage.
Banners, posters, and mobilization drives have been rolled out across the district, with party coordinators urging supporters to turn up in large numbers to show solidarity with Mafabi’s message of accountability, transparency, and inclusive governance.
Speaking ahead of his Teso tour, Mafabi emphasized that his visit is aimed at reconnecting with grassroots supporters and reaffirming FDC’s commitment to fight corruption, improve service delivery, and revive Uganda’s economy.
“Our campaign is about truth, fairness, and rebuilding trust between leaders and citizens. We are coming to Teso to listen to the people, to share ideas, and to renew hope,” Mafabi said in a statement.
He also commended the resilience of the people of Teso, noting their contribution to the struggle for democracy and social justice in Uganda.
“The people of Teso have always stood firm in defense of justice and equity. As FDC, we shall continue to stand with them,” he added.
This will be Mafabi’s first major campaign tour in Teso since his election and nomination as FDC presidential candidate.
Political analysts believe his tour will be critical in rejuvenating the party’s grassroots structures, especially in regions that were once FDC strongholds.
Security agencies and district authorities in Serere have assured the public of peaceful and orderly rallies as the campaign trail heats up ahead of the 2026 general elections.
