Kazi Ni Kazi Foundation, spearheaded by Daniel Mulalu, has taken another stride in promoting development and security in the region through the installation of solar-powered lights in key trading centers and markets.

This initiative aims to enhance night-time business activities and improve security for traders and residents.

Daniel Mulalu, the Private Secretary in Charge of Political Mobilization and Affairs in the President’s Office, announced the expansion during a community event in Mulalu Market on December 29, 2024.
Mulalu, who is vying for the Ngariam County seat in the 2026 elections, emphasized his commitment to development through such impactful projects.

“This project is about uplifting our people. Improved lighting means extended business hours, safer environments, and better livelihoods,” Mulalu said.
“Kazi Ni Kazi Foundation will continue to prioritize efforts that transform Ngariam into a hub of peace, prosperity, and unity.”
The solar power light project is being executed in partnership with Kimina Solar Company Ltd, led by engineer Odikor Denis.
The initiative targets five key trading centers: Ajenebukui, Obira, Aliakamer Border, Abela, and Omodo cattle market in Akoboi and Getom sub-counties.
Local residents, such as James Akwang and Donald Ongole from Olela Parish, expressed their appreciation for the foundation’s efforts.
“These lights are a blessing. They not only boost business but also provide a sense of security we have never had before,” Akwang noted.
Mulalu has pledged further contributions to healthcare in the region.
He revealed plans to enhance Katakwi General Hospital with additional electric beds and mattresses, supported by an American donor.
Mulalu, who recently donated 300 beds to the hospital, assured the public of continued support once the specialized hospital in Katakwi is fully constructed.
The foundation’s chairperson, Julius Otim, called on supporters during a mobilization meeting on December 30, 2024, to maintain peaceful and inclusive campaigning.
“Our focus is progress and unity. Let us reject violence and work together for a brighter future for Ngariam and Katakwi,” Otim urged.
Despite resistance from political opponents, Mulalu remains unwavering in his mission.
Supporters like Donald Ongole and Max Otim have vowed to back his candidacy peacefully, emphasizing development over divisive politics.
The Kazi Ni Kazi Foundation’s solar light project has been a game-changer for the region.
Mulalu’s political journey, once ridiculed, is now a source of inspiration for many as he continues to champion initiatives that bring tangible benefits to his community.
