The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party has officially endorsed Angela Arego Ojakala as its flag bearer for the Kapelebyong District Woman Member of Parliament seat in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
The Party made the announcement via it’s X handle on Wednesday.

FDC has lauded Ojakala as a dedicated leader with a proven commitment to grassroots development, women’s empowerment, and good governance.

The voters are now urged to rally behind her as the party seeks to reclaim ground in Teso Sub-Region.
Recently while meeting locals in Kapelebyong Town Council, Ojakala pledged to prioritize issues affecting women, youth, and vulnerable groups in Kapelebyong, if elected.

She highlighted challenges such as poor health services, limited access to education, domestic violence, and inadequate economic opportunities for women.
“I stand before you not just as a candidate but as your daughter and sister, determined to amplify your voices in Parliament. Our district deserves quality health centers, safe maternal care, improved schools, and programs that give women and youth a chance to thrive,” she told cheering supporters.
Ojakala also promised to champion transparency in the use of government resources and to advocate for increased government funding for local infrastructure, including roads and water supply systems.
The FDC unveiling comes as political parties gear up for an intense contest in Kapelebyong District, where the Woman MP seat is expected to attract several strong contenders.
FDC leaders in Teso Sub-Region said the unveiling marks the start of a coordinated mobilization drive across all sub-counties of Kapelebyong, vowing to conduct issue-based campaigns and avoid personal attacks.
The 2026 elections are widely expected to be highly competitive in Kapelebyong, with parties stepping up early preparations to secure their candidates’ success.
