The Dakabela County Member of Parliament aspirant Peter Edeku Edopu has officially commissioned more than 3,000 mobilizers, collectively dubbed the Sky Team, to lead his campaign efforts across the county ahead of the 2025 elections.
The move, described by his team as a “game-changing mobilization plan,” aims to consolidate support for Edeku Edopu both in the upcoming NRM party primaries and the general elections next year.

Speaking at the launch of the Sky Team in the sub-counties of Oculoi, Arapai, Katine, Tubur Town Council, and Tubur Sub-county, Moses Emugu Eroju, the overall coordinator for Team Edeku in Dakabela, outlined the ambitious scope of the new mobilization structure.

“We have formed coordinators at the village, parish, and sub-county levels in all five sub-counties of Dakabela County,” Emugu said.
“This approach ensures that we leave no voter behind. The Sky Team will oversee all aspects of the campaign and make sure our message reaches every home.”

Emugu explained that this deeply rooted organizational structure is designed to create a strong and reliable grassroots network that can mobilize voters efficiently and effectively.
“This is not just about winning votes. It’s about building a team that listens, understands, and explains our candidate’s vision to the people,” he added.
The Sky Team launch events across the county drew large crowds, with thousands of residents gathering to show support for Peter Edeku Edopu, whom they hailed as their only trusted and potential leader.
Chants of unity and hope echoed across venues as Edeku Edopu was introduced to jubilant supporters.
Residents carried placards and wore campaign colors, declaring their readiness to rally behind his candidacy.
“This is our son, our choice, and our hope,” one elderly woman in Katine Sub-county told this reporter. “We are tired of empty promises. We want real development.”
In Oculoi Sub-county, Moses Eriau, the area coordinator, called on both the Sky Team members and the broader community to remain focused and determined throughout the entire election period.
“This is a journey we have started together. Let’s be vigilant, united, and strong until the last vote is cast,” Eriau said.
“Victory will not come to those who sleep but to those who work hard every day to win hearts and minds.”
He also urged the mobilizers to prioritize peaceful engagement, discipline, and respect for all voters regardless of political leanings.
The launch also witnessed strong endorsements from local NRM party leaders, including Jorem Eboku, the NRM chairperson for Katine Sub-county, who declared his full backing for Peter Edeku Edopu.
“Peter Edeku Edopu is the only one with the vision and capacity to transform Dakabela’s economy,” Eboku said.
“We need a leader who knows our struggles and can work with government and development partners to improve infrastructure, agriculture, education, and health.”
Eboku called on all NRM supporters in Dakabela to unite behind Edopu’s candidacy, warning against internal divisions that could weaken the party’s chances in the general elections.
Several Sky Team mobilizers who spoke at the launch expressed enthusiasm and commitment to the cause.
“We are not here for allowances or handouts,” said one young mobilizer from Tubur Town Council.
“We are here because we believe in Peter Edeku Edopu. He listens to us. He knows our problems, and he has real solutions.”
Others emphasized the importance of door-to-door outreach, community meetings, and using local networks such as churches, farmer groups, and youth clubs to spread the campaign message.
“We will talk to every voter. We will explain the plan. We will make sure Dakabela chooses wisely,” another mobilizer added.
Addressing his supporters at the various launch events, Peter Edeku Edopu delivered a passionate speech outlining his development agenda for Dakabela if elected MP.
He promised to transform Dakabela into a modern and model county through improved infrastructure, better health services, quality education, and enhanced agriculture with access to reliable markets.
“This is not a dream. It is possible in the next five years if we work together,” Edopu declared. “I am not here to make empty promises. I am here to commit myself to the people of Dakabela.”
He highlighted the need to upgrade roads to connect farmers to markets, strengthen health centers to reduce preventable deaths, invest in schools to fight illiteracy, and promote commercial farming to boost household incomes.
“Development is about practical solutions. That is what I am offering,” he said.
Edopu also thanked the Sky Team members for volunteering their time and energy to champion his cause.
“You are the backbone of this campaign. You are the voice of the people. Let us stay focused and united. Together, we will win,” he urged.
