During a Valentine’s Day Mass at the Most Holy Name of Dakabela Parish, Rev. Fr. Marcel Ajoket the parish who also serves as the Director of Communication for SSOCCOM, called on married couples to embrace love as the foundation of their unions.
In his powerful homily, Fr. Ajoket encouraged couples to mirror the unity of Adam and Eve as depicted in the Bible, emphasizing the importance of standing together through life’s challenges.

Fr. Ajoket cautioned couples against allowing outside influences to interfere with their marriages, connecting such disruptions to the serpent’s deceit that led to the fall of Adam and Eve.

“There will always be voices that seek to disrupt your love, but it is crucial to pay no attention to them,” he warned.
He stressed that for marriages to thrive and remain strong, couples must guard their bond against negative influences that could sow seeds of doubt and division.

The priest also highlighted the importance of men taking up their God given responsibilities within the home.
Drawing from the biblical account of creation, he noted that God designed Eve to be a helper to Adam, implying that men should lead with love, wisdom, and integrity, while women support and nurture the family.
“When a man leads with love, the woman naturally complements his efforts, fostering harmony and growth in the marriage,” Fr. Ajoket explained.
He urged couples to build their marriages on a foundation of trust, communication, and mutual respect, encouraging them to grow together spiritually and emotionally.
He reminded them that love is not merely a feeling but a commitment to support each other through thick and thin.
The Valentine’s Mass at Dakabela Parish was started with the teaching about love in connection to church where the Christians expressed appreciation for the timely message.
Rev. Fr. Ajoket’s powerful message served as a reminder of the sacredness of marriage and the importance of nurturing love amidst life’s challenges.
As the couples left the church, they carried with them a renewed commitment to protect and cherish their bonds, drawing inspiration from the biblical example of Adam and Eve.
