Addressing his supporters at each venue, Hon. Omoding maintained a consistent and firm message.
He directly addressed various rumors and propaganda being peddled by his political opponents.
Among the accusations were claims that he does not speak Ateso, that he lacks academic qualifications and that he intends to “sell Serere County to Australians.”
In a bold and confident manner, Omoding spoke fluent Ateso firmly dismissing all the allegations as baseless attempts to mislead voters and derail his development agenda.
“Do not listen to lies and propaganda meant to confuse you,” he said, as the crowds erupted in cheers.
“I was born here I studied in Okodo primary school, I know your struggles and I am ready to continue fighting for you. My academic credentials are intact and my vision for Serere is clear, to transform our county into a model of progress and prosperity.”
The MP used his final rallies to outline his comprehensive manifesto, promising to focus on key pillars that directly affect the livelihoods of his constituents.
Among his top priorities are the improvement of road infrastructure to ease transport and market access, enhancement of water services to ensure clean and safe drinking water, upgrading healthcare facilities to provide quality medical services and investing in education to empower the next generation.
Furthermore, Hon. Omoding pledged to utilize his strong networks both at the national and international levels to attract meaningful development projects to Serere County.
He emphasized that his experience and connections would enable him to bring down government programs and private sector investments that will uplift local communities.
“I want to see Serere not only recognized in Uganda but also admired across the Eastern region,” he stated.
“I will use every opportunity to ensure that government programs benefit our farmers, women groups, youth and all vulnerable populations. Together, we can raise the standard of living and make Serere a true beacon of hope.”
During his speeches, Omoding consistently called for unity among the people of Serere.
He reminded them that elections should not divide the community but instead serve as an opportunity to choose leaders who have the people’s best interests at heart.
He urged voters to avoid violence and maintain peace before, during and after the election.
As the campaign drew to a close, the atmosphere in Serere was electric with supporters chanting slogans such as “Omoding our hope and pride, work not words!” Many residents expressed their admiration for his courage, humility and dedication to grassroots mobilization.
As Serere County heads to the polls tomorrow, the excitement and anticipation are at their peak.
With Omoding’s final appeal to voters, he left no doubt about his readiness and commitment to serve. His powerful conclusion resonated across the crowd:
“During elections, you have a choice to make. Choose a leader who is not selfish, who comes back to you, who listens and acts. Choose unity, peace and development. Let us vote together as one Serere and shape a brighter future for our children.”
With the stage set and the voters energized, all eyes now turn to the polling stations where the final decision will be made.
Whether Hon. Omoding’s appeals and widespread support will translate into victory remains to be seen but one thing is certain, his campaign has made a remarkable impact and he has emerged as a strong contender ready to steer Serere County into a new era of transformation.
