The Woman Member of Parliament for Serere District and state minister for Fisheries, Hon. Hellen Adoa, has called upon all the people of Serere to turn up in large numbers for her grand post-nomination rally, slated for Wednesday 22nd October, at Ochapa, Sapir Primary School.
The rally, which marks her first major appearance after her official nomination on October 22, 2025, is expected to draw thousands of supporters from across the district.

The event will serve as a platform for the minister to outline her development achievements, reaffirm her commitment to the people of Serere, and set the tone for the forthcoming campaign season.

Speaking at the Funeral Mass of Mzee Simon Okello Evarestus, Hon. Adoa expressed deep gratitude to the people of Serere for their continued trust and loyalty.
She described the upcoming rally as a celebration of unity, progress, and the strong bond between her and her constituents.

“Let no one come into Serere to disturb your minds when they are peaceful in their own districts,” she cautioned.
“Don’t accept to be deceived by people from other places who are saying, ‘let’s remove Adoa.’ Those people don’t understand the journey we have walked together.”
Hon. Adoa emphasized that leadership and development are gradual processes that require patience, teamwork, and consistency.
She reminded the people that no one can achieve everything at once, but with persistence and collective effort, great things can be accomplished.
“There is no one who can do everything perfectly in this world at the same time,” she explained.
“Development takes time. It is something gradual it, moves step by step. We have started the journey, and together we shall continue building a better Serere.”
The legislator’s words come at a crucial moment as political activity intensifies across the country following the nomination of candidates for the upcoming general elections.
Her rally in Ochapa is anticipated to be a show of strength and solidarity, reinforcing her grassroots support base that has stood firm since she first joined elective politics.
Community leaders in Serere have also expressed excitement about the rally, noting that Hon. Adoa’s tenure has brought visible development in sectors such as education, women empowerment, and infrastructure.
Security officials in the district have assured residents of a peaceful and well-coordinated event.
Local police said adequate arrangements have been made to ensure safety and order throughout the rally.
Hon. Adoa’s message of unity and progressive development resonates strongly with the people of Serere, who have continuously rallied behind her leadership.
Her emphasis on patience, peace, and step-by-step growth is seen as a mature approach in a political climate often marked by division and unrealistic promises.
As the sun rises tomorrow over the plains of Serere, all roads are expected to lead to Ochapa, Sapir Primary School, where songs, chants, and joyful ululations will welcome the minister and her team.
The rally promises to be both a political statement and a celebration of the enduring bond between a leader and her people.
With her trademark humility and focus on grassroots transformation, Hon. Hellen Adoa is poised to reaffirm her message: that Serere’s progress belongs to its people, and its future is best secured through unity, patience, and steady work.
“Let us walk together step by step,” she concluded. “Our journey is not yet done, but together, we shall reach the peak.”
