The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has announced that the long-awaited results for the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams will be released tomorrow 11th, February 2025.
“The wait is over,” UNEB posted on X (formerly Twitter), adding, “Release of UCE 2024 results.”

However, the statement went ahead to specify tomorrow 11th, February 2025 as exact date from release of the results.

This release marks a significant milestone, as 2024 was the first year that UNEB conducted two different sets of UCE examinations, one under the New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC) and another under the old curriculum as a transitional measure.
“This is a unique year in the history of UNEB,” said Jennifer Kalule, the UNEB Principal Public Relations Officer, in a statement last year.

“In addition to the pioneer candidates of the new curriculum, we had another group sitting for the Transitional Examination under the old curriculum.”
A total of 379,748 candidates sat for the exams, with 369,601 being the first batch under the new curriculum, while 10,147 took the transitional exam.
The release of results will provide clarity on the effectiveness of the NLSC, which emphasizes competence-based learning and practical skills.
Education stakeholders, parents, and students are eagerly waiting to see how the shift in curriculum has impacted performance.
UNEB is expected to meet with the Education Minister also First Lady Janet Museveni before the release of the results
