Ngora District turned vibrant and electric today as Hon. Stella Isodo, the incumbent Woman Member of Parliament for Ngora District, was duly nominated to contest once again for the same seat in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.
She was nominated under the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party ticket, marking her continued commitment to serving the people of Ngora under the blue flag of the opposition party.

The nomination event was presided over by officials from the Electoral Commission at the electoral commission offices.

Supporters of the FDC party thronged the town in large numbers, waving blue flags and Blue t shirts written Sina Makosa 2026, chanting her name and expressing confidence in her leadership.
The atmosphere was filled with jubilation as Hon. Isodo officially confirmed her readiness to defend her seat.

Speaking shortly after her nomination, Hon. Stella Isodo expressed gratitude to God, her supporters and the Electoral Commission for the smooth nomination process.
“Nomination is never easy, but since I have successfully gone through it, I am confident about the next stage, the election itself,” she said.
She added that her nomination symbolized not just her political ambition but her continued determination to “fix the economy and put money in people’s pockets.”
Hon. Isodo emphasized that her focus in the next term will remain on empowering ordinary citizens through improved access to livelihood programs, economic empowerment and enhanced service delivery in key sectors like education, health, agriculture and sports.
The legislator remarked humorously yet passionately about her deep roots in Ngora. “Some of my opponents may have been married outside Ngora, but I am married here. I am the owner of the saucepan,” she said, drawing loud cheers and laughter from the crowd.
The statement resonated deeply with locals, many of whom view her as a true daughter of the soil who understands the realities of the district and its people.
Hon. Isodo further emphasized the peaceful nature of her campaign, urging her supporters to remain calm, focused and disciplined throughout the election season.
“I want to tell all my supporters go for these rallies in peace. Avoid emotions and conflicts. Even those in the opposition can be our friends. We can welcome them to our camp in peace, we should not fight them,” she advised.
She also reminded her followers that leadership should not be about division but service and truth. “We in FDC are called the opposition, but we speak the truth. We believe in honesty and service above self,” she said.
During her address, Hon. Isodo outlined her achievements and priorities as a leader. She highlighted her continued efforts in improving health services, especially maternal and child health programs, supporting farmers through agricultural projects and Machinary, enhancing education standards, and promoting youth participation in sports like football and Netball.
“I have always believed that the best way to serve people is by improving their livelihoods. We need to support our farmers with better seeds, encourage our youth through sports and ensure that every child can go to school,” she stated.
She reaffirmed her pledge to continue advocating for initiatives that will “put money in the pockets of the people of Ngora.”
After the nomination, the entire Ngora town was awash with FDC blue, as hundreds of supporters took to the streets to celebrate their candidate.
A post-nomination rally was held within the town, where Hon. Isodo addressed her supporters, calling for unity and cooperation throughout the campaign period and she is supposed to move all Ngora district.
The celebration was marked by songs, dances and chants of victory as residents expressed optimism that Hon. Isodo’s re-election would ensure continued development and stability in the district. Many supporters described her as a tested and trusted leader, one who has remained close to her constituents and understands their daily struggles.
