His Highness Paul Sande Emolot Etomeileng, the Paramount Chief of Teso, is set to resume his grassroots tours, beginning with Amuria District on February 19, 2025.
This initiative underscores his commitment to fostering unity, development, and direct engagement with his subjects.

The grassroots tours, which initially began in Katakwi District, serve as a platform for the Emorimor to connect with clan leaders, youth, and local authorities while addressing critical issues affecting the Iteso people.

Speaking on behalf of the leadership, Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Andrew Ocole emphasized the importance of these tours in strengthening governance and promoting cultural heritage.
According to Ocole, the engagements will prioritize; enhancing records to ensure proper documentation and recognition of clans within Teso and encouraging access to quality education, including advocacy for better school facilities and increased literacy levels.

He is also expected, rallying his subjects for financial and material support for the construction of a befitting palace for the Emorimor and strengthening traditional leadership structures to improve dispute resolution and promote peaceful co-existence.
Ocole outlined that Emorimor’s visit to Amuria will span three key locations: Orungo Town Council – Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Amuria Town Council – Thursday, February 20, 2025, Amolo Sub County – Friday, February 21, 2025
All engagements will commence at 9:00 AM, offering residents the opportunity to interact directly with the Paramount Chief and other traditional leaders.
Local leaders and residents have welcomed the grassroots tours, viewing them as a crucial step in addressing community challenges and reinforcing cultural identity.
The initiative aims to stabilize traditional administrative roles while fostering collaboration between clans.
“The Emorimor’s presence in the community helps to bridge the gap between leadership and the people, ensuring that our voices are heard and our concerns addressed,” remarked a local elder from Amuria.
Community members are encouraged to attend the meetings and actively participate in discussions that will shape the future of Teso.
