His Royal Highness Paul Sande Emolot, the Emorimor of Iteso Cultural Union, has spoken out strongly against the horrific incident at Jozan Nursery and Primary School, where a young pupil was found dead under mysterious circumstances.
The body of Apio Joan Faith, a Primary One pupil, was discovered inside a locked latrine on the school premises, prompting widespread shock and outrage.

In response, the police swiftly shut down the school and arrested four key staff members: the school director, head teacher, deputy head teacher, and the school matron.

Speaking during the sendoff ceremony of ICU Deputy Prime Papa Jones Eceru Oluma at the ICU offices, Emorimor described the incident as a barbaric and unacceptable act that has no place in Teso society.
He called upon the government to conduct thorough investigations to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

“How do you open a school and start making money out of people’s children? How do you sacrifice someone’s daughter? If it was back then, those culprits would have also been killed. The government should take keen action against this school and any others practicing such acts. I condemn this act in the strongest terms,” he stated emotionally.
The Emorimor emphasized that schools should be safe spaces for learners, not places of fear and harm.
He urged authorities to take strict action against any institutions involved in harmful or suspicious activities.
Beyond condemning the tragic incident, Emorimor also advised parents to be more cautious when selecting schools for their children.
He warned against the temptation of enrolling children in new institutions that offer lower fees and incentives without thoroughly assessing their credibility and safety standards.
He also cautioned against sending young children to boarding schools, emphasizing that they are often too young to handle such an environment.
“Parents should take their children to safer schools and stop being swayed by low fees and enticing offers. Young children should not be taken to boarding schools too soon,” he urged.
Meanwhile, police have assured the public that a full investigation is underway to uncover the truth behind Apio Joan Faith’s tragic death.
Police have vowed to leave no stone unturned in ensuring justice for the young victim and her family.
