Her Majesty the Queen of Teso Toto, Akaliait Juliet Among, has called on students to stay close to God in order to achieve success in their academic and personal lives.
She delivered this inspiring message while addressing students at Orungo High School, emphasizing the importance of faith, discipline, and cultural pride.

Drawing from the Biblical verse Matthew 7:7, which states, “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” Queen Akaliait urged students to seek divine wisdom and guidance in their educational journey.

She stressed that success is not solely determined by academic effort but also by spiritual dedication and a deep connection with God.
“As young people, you must make it a habit to ask God for wisdom, guidance, and strength in all that you do. There is nothing beyond reach when you seek God’s help,” she encouraged the students.

The Queen emphasized the need for discipline and responsibility among students.
She noted that good conduct and self-discipline are key pillars in shaping a bright future.
“Young people must grow into responsible citizens by embracing good morals, respecting their elders, and staying focused on their education. Discipline is a cornerstone of success,” she advised.
She also took the opportunity to promote the rich traditions of the Ateker culture, urging students to dress decently and take pride in their heritage.
She encouraged them to learn how to prepare local dishes, a skill that fosters cultural continuity and appreciation for their roots.
“Our culture is our identity, and it is important that we preserve and celebrate it. Dressing modestly and knowing how to prepare traditional foods are just some of the ways we can uphold our heritage,” she noted.
Akaliait challenged the students to strive for excellence and become role models in society.
She highlighted the importance of personal integrity, leadership, and contributing positively to their communities.
“Our country and our society need young people who can inspire others through their actions. Be exemplary, work hard, and take responsibility for shaping a better future,” she urged.
