His Royal Highness, Emorimor Papa Iteso Paul Sande Emolot Etomeileng, has declared a battle against the rising school dropout rates in Teso Sub region and in particular Kapelebyong District.
During his visit to Kapelebyong District, he toured three schools, Akoromit Seed School, St. Peter’s Secondary School Acowa, and Akoromit Ark Peas Secondary School where he laid out strategies to curb the crisis of school dropouts

One of the key measures he introduced is the active involvement of clan leaders in monitoring school attendance.

He announced that leaders would conduct weekly checks to identify pupils and students who are frequently absent and follow up with their families to understand the reasons behind their absence.
Emorimor also issued a strong warning against early marriages, citing them as a major cause of school dropouts among girls.

He stressed that any parent found forcing their child into marriage would face legal consequences.
“If your parents are forcing you to get married and the clan leaders are supporting it, report them. They will all be arrested,” he declared.
Additionally, he urged teachers to provide career guidance to students while they are at school helping them choose courses that align with market demands rather than pursuing general degrees that may not secure them competitive jobs.
The primary goal of his visit was to unite the Teso people, strengthen the education sector, and ultimately reduce poverty levels in the region.
Emorimor emphasized that education is the key to transforming Teso and ensuring a brighter future for the younger generation.
