Soroti City is buzzing with anticipation as Soroti Plascon FC prepares to host the much-anticipated “Paint and Play” tournament, scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, 2025.

According to Pius Okunga, Chairman of the Soroti City Plascon Forum, the Oligoi playground will be the main battleground for the thrilling face-off between Soroti Plascon FC and their counterparts from Lira Plascon FC.

The event is expected to draw football fans, families, and members of the community in large numbers for a day of sportsmanship, celebration, and unity.
Okunga confirmed that representatives from Kansai Plascon, the prominent paint company supporting the tournament, will officiate the event.

He emphasized that their presence underlines the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots talent and uniting communities through sport.
“The tournament is not just about the competition,” Okunga said. “It’s about building bridges and fostering community spirit. We want to use football as a tool to bring people together, inspire the youth, and celebrate the values of teamwork and resilience.”
The “Paint and Play” tournament is part of a broader initiative by Plascon to integrate corporate social responsibility with community engagement.
