Ngora District has witnessed a significant transformation in its education sector, thanks to the unwavering support of Woman MP Stella Apolot Isodo.
Her generous contribution of two million shillings to all seed secondary schools in the district has been a game-changer, yielding remarkable progress and improvement in the quality of education.

Since assuming office, Isodo has been a vocal advocate for education, recognizing its pivotal role in shaping the future of Ngora’s youth.

Her commitment to enhancing the education sector has been evident in her tireless efforts to mobilize resources, engage stakeholders, and provide strategic guidance to education institutions.
The two million shillings donation has been instrumental in addressing some of the pressing challenges faced by seed secondary schools in Ngora.

These schools including; Morukakise, Agirigiroi, Atoot, Mukura and others to receive including Ngora, Opot are critical in providing access to quality education, had been grappling with inadequate infrastructure, limited resources, and insufficient funding, according to Ngora District Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Irene Chelengat.
Mrs. Chelengat while speaking in Mukura Seed SS said, with Isodo’s support, these schools have been able to upgrade their infrastructure, procure essential educational materials, and enhance the overall learning environment.
Noting that, this, in turn, has led to improved academic performance, increased student enrollment, and a renewed sense of enthusiasm among students, teachers, and parents alike.
Chelengat was also quick to reveal that the seed schools across the district have witnessed a notable increase in student enrollment, particularly among girls, who have been encouraged by Isodo’s advocacy for girls’ education.
One of the notable beneficiaries of Isodo’s support is Atoot Seed SS, which has seen a significant transformation in its infrastructure and academic programs.
The school has been able to renovate its classrooms, construct new dormitories, and acquire modern educational equipment, thanks to Isodo’s donation.
Mr. Denis Otwau the chairperson Board of Governors for Mukura Seed SS told this website that, Isodo’s commitment to education has inspired a new generation of students, who are now more motivated than ever to pursue their academic dreams.
“Her donation of two million shillings to seed secondary schools has transformed the education landscape, improving infrastructure, enhancing academic programs, and inspiring a new generation of students. Isodo’s legacy will undoubtedly serve as a foundation for future growth and development,” said Otwau.
Meanwhile the LCI of Okipitok village Okiria James Peter called on the district to explore sustainable ways to support education initiatives, including mobilizing resources from local stakeholders and development partners than only solely depending on support from politicians.
He further challenged the government to find mechanisms to address the persistent inequalities in education, including disparities in access to education, particularly for marginalized groups.
Philemon Okutui LCI Olukangoro Village in Atoot Sub County also challenged the district to build partnerships with local stakeholders, development partners, and the private sector to support education initiatives.
The Assistant RDC Ngora, Mr. Anapa Ojirot, expressed his profound gratitude for the ongoing developments at Mukura Seed Secondary School.
Recognizing the fundamental link between security and progress, he emphasized that where there is insecurity, development falters, but where security thrives, progress follows suit.
Encouraging all concerned parties to address any issues pertaining to the school’s existence by submitting written grievances along with substantiated reasons, he underscored the government’s policy of refraining from investing in areas plagued by discord.
He urged unity and cooperation to avoid deterring support for the school. Committed to aligning with advocates of advancement, the committee vowed to champion educational initiatives, recognizing that communities that initiate projects are more likely to attract governmental support.
On her part, Isodo said that UGX 2 million initiative is aimed at improving secondary education in the district’s seed schools.
She emphasized the importance of investing in education to uplift the future of young learners noting that, “This initiative is meant to enhance learning conditions in our seed schools and ensure that our children receive quality education.”
She noted that the funds would be used to provide essential learning materials, improve infrastructure, and support teachers in delivering better education.
Ngora, like many rural districts, faces challenges in secondary education, including limited resources and inadequate facilities.
The MP reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for more funding for the education sector, urging the government and other stakeholders to support efforts in strengthening learning institutions in Ngora.
