The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has officially unveiled its Tuko Pamoja coordinators for the Teso Subregion, marking a major milestone in strengthening grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2026 general elections.
In a letter dated October 21, 2025, addressed to the Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and the Director of Mobilization, PLU National Vice Chairman Mr. Michael Nuwagira Kaguta (Toyota) announced the formation of the new mobilization structures.

“I bring you greetings from the Patriotic League of Uganda Secretariat. Thank you for the efforts thus far rendered in the campaign trail of our party Chairman and flag bearer, H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni,” Toyota stated.

He explained that the Tuko Pamoja team was established to reinforce the ongoing mobilization efforts by the NRM Secretariat to ensure overwhelming victory for President Museveni and the party at large.
“It’s on this note that I formally introduce to you and your office a list of our coordinators as per the different subregions. They are a formidable and committed force that will greatly add value,” he added.

The appointed coordinators are expected to work under the overall supervision of Hon. Sanjay Tanna, the PLU Eastern Uganda Coordinator.
Tanna will provide strategic guidance and harmonize the operations of the Tuko Pamoja network across the subregion.
Among the notable appointees is Peter Paul Emaju the Kasilo County NRM MP Candidate, who expressed gratitude upon being named Sub-Coordinator for Serere District.
“Humbled by my appointment as Sub-Coordinator for @Plugandaa in Serere District. Grateful for the trust and confident that together we’ll strengthen our structures and advance the @Plugandaa and @NRMOnline vision in our community,” Emaju posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The unveiling of the Tuko Pamoja coordinators signals PLU’s growing presence and organizational strength in the Teso Subregion, as it rallies behind President Museveni’s continued leadership under the NRM banner.
