Orungo County NRM parliamentary aspirant, Emmy Ejoku Olaboro, has addressed circulating concerns over his delayed nomination, assuring the public that it was not by intention but due to unforeseen obstacles caused by individuals working against his political ambitions.
Speaking to the media, Olaboro clarified that the NRM party embraces the ideology of fronting a single candidate to represent the rest, and he is among the three contenders vying for the party flag in Orungo County.

He thanked the people of Orungo for their trust and promised to serve with integrity and inclusivity once elected.

Olaboro, a Civil Servant and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Bulambuli district revealed that he had submitted his resignation to the Ministry of Local Government in line with the law, to pave the way for his nomination.
However, upon returning to pick up his resignation approval, he was shocked to learn that his letter was missing.

“I have come to learn that there are individuals who deliberately blocked my resignation in a bid to stop me from contesting,” he said. “I am still investigating to establish who could be behind this. Whether it’s someone within Orungo or beyond, I don’t know yet.”
He acknowledged the fears and anxiety among his supporters but reassured them that the nomination period was not yet over and that he is working tirelessly to ensure he gets nominated.
“We still have two days to go. I am doing everything within the law to make sure I am nominated. I am the leader the people of Orungo deserve,” Olaboro affirmed.
Urging his supporters to remain calm, he stressed that politics should not divide communities.
“Let’s not cause chaos during this political season. Politics comes and goes, but our unity, love, and friendship should remain. This is a tactic to weaken my support, but we are not shaken.”
Olaboro described himself as a loyal, visionary leader, committed to fighting poverty, promoting education and health, empowering youth and women, and tackling corruption and unemployment.
His notable contributions include lobbying for the establishment of Orungo High School and Moru Ngatuny Seed School, supplying textbooks and exercise books, constructing culverts between Ogongora and Otuboi, and distributing mama kits to expectant mothers.
He dismissed claims that he is being used by powerful individuals, stating:
“The Constitution of Uganda allows any citizen above 18 years with the necessary qualifications to contest. I wasn’t sent by anyone I came to the people of Orungo, sought their support, and they gave it to me. I am here for the people, not for any individual.”
Meanwhile, his supporters expressed frustration over the situation, with some saying it has caused fear and discontent among the electorate.
“We trust Olaboro and we are waiting for the next step. But we are disappointed. Why are they blocking someone the people have chosen?” said one supporter. “This is unjust. We want our candidate back.”
The people of Orungo continue to stand behind Olaboro as he pursues his right to be nominated and serve them

Yes why did you blocked the man people want GOD WILL FOLLOW YOU because you have done what is not right before our country and before God .
