The Serere District Woman MP also Minister of State for Fisheries, Hon. Hellen Adoa has today actively participated in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) grassroots elections held today in Serere District.
The elections, part of the NRM’s internal democratic process, aim to elect leaders at various local levels, including village, parish, and sub-county positions.

Minister Adoa was in Igola One village, Kakus parish in Olio Subcounty where she also engaged with constituents and election officials.

She emphasized the importance of transparency and grassroots involvement in strengthening the party’s foundation.
“Participating in these elections is not just about choosing leaders; it’s about reinforcing our commitment to democratic principles and ensuring that the voices of our people are heard,” Minister Adoa stated.

The NRM grassroots elections are a critical component of the party’s structure, conducted every five years to renew leadership and invigorate party activities at the local level.
The process involves the election of officials for positions such as Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and other committee roles within the village, parish, and sub-county levels.
